Annual Sports Day
The annual sports day was organised for the Pre-Primary (classes play group to 1) and Primary section (classes 2 to 5) on 23rd Kartik and 26th Kartik respectively. Parents were invited and even cultural shows were put up for their entertainment. The children had put in a lot of effort and their hard work really paid off. The parents were really thrilled to see their small kids compete in various entertaining events. It was really a big day for the students where they enjoyed a lot. The parents among the audience were called to give away the medals.
Pre-Primary and Class One Sports Day
Games and sports play vital part in the growth of a child physicaly and mentally. So, our energetic teachers of Kindergarten always motivate our students in games and sports in different ways. It is only through games and sports concentration is increased, creativity and imagination is expanded, motor skills are developed, social skills and language skills are nurtured. So, on 23rd Kartik in the presence of our Principal Madam Mrs. Binata Pradhan, Executive Director Mr. Arvind Pradhan, Vice- Principal Mr. C. Theodore and guardians, our Baba Kinderworld held Pre-Primary and Class One Sports Day 2062. There were altogether twenty events which were equally interesting and mind blowing. Our E.C. A. In-charge, Kindergarten and Class One teachers, games and sports teachers, Senior teachers, our Senior students, music teachers and myself spare no pain to make the event successful. The winner students were honoured medals by our guardians. I appreciate the guardians who were present on the day to encourage our student s and make our programme successful. The events and winners were like this.
4th Baba Basketball Tourney
Baba Boarding organised 4th Inter-School Basketball Tournament. 32 teams of different schools around the Kathmandu valley participated in the competition for both senior and junior categories. The tournament started on 21st Jestha, 2062 and ended in 28th of the same month. In the senior category, the defending champion RIBS defeated Brihaspati Vidya Sadan with 53-46 points in a high contesting match. Mr. Ajay Gurung of RIBS was declared the Best Player. Similarly in the junior category, the host, Baba beat RIBS with a huge margin with 80-28. Mr. Prabin Gurung of Baba was the Best Player in the juniors. The Chief Guest, Mr. Dhuba Bahadur Pradhan, Member Secretary of Nepal Olympic Committee gave away the running trophy and medals with certificates to the winners.
3rd Inter-School RIBS Basketball Tournament
The basketball players made the school really proud when Junior Basket ball team emerged as winner with Running Shield playing against Gyan Nikitan at RIBS. The final score was 31-25 where Prabin Gurung the captain of the team stood as the top scorer with 27 points. On the other hand the senior were Runner-Up in the final playing against RIBS. The final games were held on 25th of Bhadra and the team brought back trophies, medals and certificates.
Inter School Teakwondo Championship
The Inter-School National Teakwondo Championship, organized by the Teakwondo Association of Nepal, has benefited the Baba BHS participants a lot. Our boys and girls who participated in different categories have done wonders and once again have brought glory to the school. Overall, our school was enlisted SECOND in this competition. Amit Chhetri, though he was injured badly during the competition, didn't miss the Gold Medal. Well-done Amit! Rajiv Shrestha also got through with a Gold Medal and Tenzing Lama, achieved a Silver Medal. The girls also looked strong when Tara Ghimire bagged a Gold Medal and was declared the "Best Player" in her category. And of course, Yangji Sherpa was contented with a Silver Medal and Mangita Thapa Magar ended the competition with a Bronze Medal.

HVM Table Tennis Competition
The Himalaya Vidya Mandir organized an Inter-School Table Tennis Competition and once more our T.T. players have done good. Ngima Sherpa has bagged two Bronze medals, whereas Kriti Shrestha, Yangji Sherpa and Sudha Shrestha have won one Bronze Medal each to their name. We wish them all the best and just hope they keep up the good work.
Double Delight for Baba
It hasn't been a month Baba had clinched 58th King Gyanedra's Birthday Cup Inter-school Swimming hampionship. Baba has added one more feather to its cap. Baba's swimmers once again proved they are really unbeaten as they lifted 7th Galaxy Cup Inter- School Swimming Championship. Baba had top scored with 82 points while others were struggling for the 2nd and 3rd places. Hundreds of Baba students were gathered in the Swimming Complex to cheer up their colleagues as they were gloriously adding the medals to the Baba medal tally. State Minister for Education and Sports Mr. Balkrishna Khand gave away the running shield and the medals to the winners. Baba had also been awarded with the replica for its outstanding performance.
Clinch Basketball Trophy
Baba Boarding High School remained unbeaten till the end to lift the trophy in 5th BVS Inter- School Basketball Friendship Meet. Baba made LRI bow down in the final match leading 45- 35 points. Baba was enthusiastically waiting to lift the trophy as they defeated all their opponents with the huge margin. From the first quarter, Baba started leading with 12-2 and added 15 more in the second. Though in the third quarter, Baba could add only 8 points, finally the score was 45-35. Prabin Gurung(7B) topscored with 24 points and also declared the Highest Scorer(137 points) and the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
