Primary Sports Meet-2066
Baba elementary block observed Annual Sports Meet-2066 on 21st of Kartik, Saturday.The programme started with march- past followed by National Anthem and the school song. The warm welcome speech by the Director, Mr. Arvind Pradhan made all parents spellbound with his thought provoking and enthusiastic speech. The programme kicked off with a dance number by Grade 3, 4 and 5 students. It made everyone cheerful. Games and sports have significant role in all round development of the children. We believe in team work, co-operation and discipline. The way we lead the children towards the goal through games and sports really have been the effective means. All The Best Banin!!!
Banin Sensa Shrestha one of the pioneer swimmers of Nepal, a grade ten student of our school has been selected in top five swimmers in Breast Stroke category from our country to participate in the 11th SAG(South Asian Games) going to be held in the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka. Banin may be one of the youngest participants of SAG in swimming, has won dozens of gold medals in swimming championship nationally held competitions. Maths Quiz Won
Baba boarding high school won the first prize in the Inter School mathematics quiz organized by mathematics club of Budhanilkantha School on 10th September, 2009. The top schools of Kathmandu valley AVM, DAV, BABA and Budhanilkantha were in final. Baba successfully left all the teams behind with huge margins of scores. There were general round, presentation round, analysis round, solutions round and so on to test the abilities of the students. Our students Abodh Podyal (10 A) and Biraj Khanal (10 A) proved themselves with distinct performance. They were awarded with medal, certificate, shield and free registration LSDP(Leadership and Skill Development Program) worth Rs 12,000 each, the prize was sponsored by Today’s Youth Asia. Inter house General Quiz Contest was organized on 21 Bhadra, 2066 in the school hall. There were all together 8 teams representing Blue, Green, Red and Yellow house with 2 teams each house. The winner was Blue house, 1st Runner up was Red House and 2nd Runner up was Green House. Read more »

Primary Quiz Contest
Baba Boarding High School organized primary level wise Mathematic Quiz on 3rd September, 2009 in the school hall. There were four group participants Galileo(Shardha Shrestha(3a), Migur Sherpa(4a) and Samrajya Shrestha(5a)), Newton(Abilasha Rai(3a), Asha Lama(4a) and Lita Subedi(5a)), Pythagoras(Nistha Nepal(3b), Alka Lama(4a) and Sudikshya Chapagain(5b) and Leibniz(Phurba Sherpa(3b), Anish Thapa(4b) and Shriti Kafle(5b). The Quiz was divided into 5 rounds: Questions Round, Problems Solving Round, Visual Round, Presentation Round and Rapid-fire Round. Himalayan Int’l Model Higher Secondary School (HIMS) organized the 2nd HIMS Inter-School Swimming Championship on 25th and 26th August 2009. BABA BOARDING HIGH SCHOOL as a strong competitor successfully placed itself in the 1st Runner as a whole group performance, leaving just 18 points away to receive the HIMS Trophy. Our students did a very good performance in the swimming and almost all the participants stood strong with the medals in various categories. 196th Bhanu Bhakta Jayanti Celetration
Baba boarding High school has been organizing valley wise inter school elocution competition on the eve of the great Nepali Poet Bhanu Bhakta Acharya for a long time. On the 196th Birthday of Bhanu Bhakta, school organized an elocution completion entitled “Continued Bandha and its in educational sector”. The chief guest of the program was one of the great Nepali literary figure and president of Gorkhapatra Sansthan Bijay Chalise. In the program literary personality Bhawani Ghimire was felicitated with Letter of Appreciation. The well known figure of Nepali literature Pro. Dr. Laxmikanta Panthi, Mukunda Dahal, Shanti Risal, Ram Bahadur Pahadi, Kavi Prashad Pyakurel and Prayag Raj Vashistha were other invitees and guests. Mr. Hari Sharan Khanal highlighted the contribution of Bhanu Bhakta Acharay and elaborated the cause of organizing such events yearly. Prayag Raj Vashistha thanked everyone for participation and highlighted the school’s performance in education, sports, literature, etc. The school organized internal poetry recitation competition Bhanu Bhakta. In the valley wise elocution competition, Prakat Neupane of Hindu Vidhyapith, Geeta Baniya of Pashupati Mitra Ma. Vi. and Kamala Lama of Baba stood first, second and third positions respectively.
